A guide to your VoIP phone
How your internet-based phone works and how to use it day to day.
What VoIP is
VoIP means your phone calls travel over your broadband instead of a traditional phone line. It's cheaper, more flexible and works wherever you have internet.
Making and taking calls
Use the handset exactly as you would a normal phone — lift, dial, talk. Calls between your own VoIP extensions are usually free.
Handy features
Your VoIP system can transfer calls, set up voicemail, divert to a mobile and ring several handsets at once. Ask us to set up the features you need.
If calls sound poor
Crackly or dropping calls usually mean a broadband issue. Check your connection first, then call 0191 432 6588 if it persists.
