Basic phone troubleshooting
Quick fixes for a VoIP phone that won't make or take calls.
Check it's powered and connected
Make sure the handset's network cable is firmly plugged in and the phone has power. No display usually means a loose power or network lead.
Check your broadband
VoIP needs the internet. If your broadband is down, the phone won't register — sort the connection first (see our broadband guides).
Restart the handset
Unplug the phone's power (and network lead) for thirty seconds, then plug it back in. It will re-register on start-up.
Still no joy?
