Receipt printing problems
Sort out blank, jammed or missing receipts on your terminal.
Check the paper roll
Lift the printer flap and make sure there's paper and that it's the right way round — the print only appears on one side of the roll. Feed a little out before closing the flap.
Fit the roll correctly
Drop the roll in so the paper feeds from underneath, leaving a short tail sticking out, then snap the flap shut. A misfed roll prints blank.
Use the right paper
Terminals use thermal paper. Standard or low-quality rolls can print faint or not at all — order proper thermal rolls if yours look poor.
Offer a digital receipt
Most terminals can text or email a receipt instead. If the printer's jammed, use that to serve the customer while we sort the hardware.
