'Bad password' or login errors
What to do when the terminal rejects a password or passcode.
Re-enter carefully
Type the passcode slowly — it's easy to fat-finger a digit. Codes are case-sensitive where letters are involved.
Check you're using the right code
There's a difference between the supervisor/menu passcode and a Wi-Fi password. Make sure you're entering the one the screen is actually asking for.
Wait out any lockout
Too many wrong attempts can lock the menu for a few minutes. Wait, then try again with the correct code.
Lost the code?
We don't recommend keeping the default. If you've lost your passcode, call 0191 432 6588 and we'll verify you and reset it securely.
