Contactless isn't working
Fix tap-to-pay when contactless and mobile wallets won't read.
Position the card correctly
Ask the customer to hold their card or phone flat against the centre of the screen, not the top or the card reader slot, and hold it still for a second.
Check the amount
Contactless has a per-tap limit (currently £100). Anything above that needs chip and PIN — insert the card instead.
Try another card
If one card won't tap but others will, the issue is that card or phone, not your terminal.
Restart the terminal
A quick reboot clears most contactless glitches. If tap fails on every card after that, give us a call.
