Performing an acquirer reset

Re-sync your terminal with the bank when transactions won't go through.

When you'd need it

If payments are failing with bank-side errors (like MAC errors or 'unable to logon'), an acquirer reset re-establishes the link to your card processor.

Find the logon option

In the terminal menu, look for 'Acquirer', 'Logon' or 'Check-in'. Selecting it forces the terminal to reconnect to the bank and refresh its session.

Let it complete

Don't interrupt it — wait for a 'logon successful' or 'accepted' message. This usually takes a few seconds.

Prefer us to do it

If you're unsure, don't worry — call 0191 432 6588 and we'll run the reset remotely and confirm you're back online.
