Setting up your PAX A920
Get your PAX A920 smart terminal out of the box and taking payments.
1. Charge and power on
Give the A920 a full charge first using the supplied cable and plug. Press and hold the power button on the right-hand side until the screen lights up.
2. Connect to the internet
Swipe down from the top and tap the cog, then Wi-Fi. Choose your business network (not the guest one) and enter the password. If you've been supplied a 4G SIM it will connect automatically.
3. Open the payment app
Tap the Chip & Pin Direct payment app on the home screen. It will check in and download your latest settings — give it a minute the first time.
4. Take a test payment
Run a small sale and refund it to confirm everything's working. Contactless, Apple Pay and Google Pay are switched on by default.
