Setting up your fibre router
Get your new fibre broadband router online and ready for your terminals.
1. Connect the router
Plug the router into your fibre socket using the supplied cable, then connect the power. Switch it on at the wall.
2. Wait for it to settle
The lights will flash while it connects to the line — this can take up to ten minutes on first start-up. You're looking for a steady (not flashing) broadband or internet light.
3. Find your Wi-Fi details
Your network name and password are printed on a sticker on the router. Use these to connect your card machines, tills and phones.
4. Connect your equipment
Plug countertop terminals straight into a spare network port for the most reliable connection. Connect portable terminals over Wi-Fi.
If it won't come online
Check every cable is firmly seated, then power-cycle the router. If the broadband light stays red, see 'No broadband whatsoever' or call us.
